Getting to the Show

By car enter via the school gates off Northgate. Take the access road to the car park at the rear of the school buildings  on your right. There are around 100 car park spaces on site.

A one way system will be in operation entering via Northgate and exiting via College Grove Road at the rear of the school site. Follow the road signs. There is a 5mph speed limit in the school grounds.

Please note the car park on the left on entering via Northgate is for Swim School users only and not available to visitors to the Model Railway Exhibition.

There are several disabled car park spaces and a drop off/ pick up area is available.

Near the School  there are a number of public car parks and on street parking available for visitors all in easy reach of the venue. Car Parks in Wakefield

On Sundays all Council car parks are free. Please note there are a number of privately run car parks in the area where payment is always required.

For visitors arriving by train, Westgate station is half a mile from QEGS, Kirkgate is 1.1 miles away.
The bus station is 0.3 miles from QEGS.

A free City Bus links both railway stations with the centre of Wakefield and the bus station. It does not run on Sundays.
