Programme of Events

From September to June we hold regular talks and presentations at our club rooms. All dates are Mondays, unless otherwise stated. Talks start at 7:45pm.

06 April	Easter Monday Check with key holders for access.
13 April	Huddersfield's Railways Philip Hellawell returns with an exploration of the railways around Huddersfield.
27 April	Annual General Meeting
04 May	May Day Bank Holiday Check with key holders for access.
11 May	Ossett to Penzance via Thurso Roger Hepworth takes us on a photographic tour of the UK in the 60s and 70s, including the last day on the Waverley route and the marathon 3-day Great Briton railtour from Crewe to Thurso and Penzance.
25 May	Spring Bank Holiday Check with key holders for access.
29 June	The Lunatic Express Ron Pickering explains how the British built a railway from Mombasa to Lake Victoria - without a map!
07 September	Return of the Prodigal Olly Edwards returns to where it all started to tell us about his adventures in the world of heritage railways.
21 September	Byways, Backwaters and Branches A fascinating photo journey from Steve Armitage, visiting some of the many seldom visited and hidden corners of our once wonderfully varied railway system.
