Based on a modular approach, the fiddle yards (dumb bells) are designed to be used on a number of separate layouts being situated at each end of the scenic boards. This layout is built to represent an East German non-electrified line at the time of the fall of the Berlin Wall and the subsequent unification of the country, with the focal point being a long (5 ft) double track iron girder bridge crossing the River Mulde.
This layout is predominantly for watching trains 'in the scenery' and utilises motive power from Brawa, whilst rolling stock is from most of the major manufacturers.
