Dyserth Road

Nick Gurney, Rhyl

Scale: 4mm Gauge: 16.5mm/OO

Dyserth Road is a small portable layout built by using two 4 feet by 2 feet boards to give a total of 8 feet by 2 feet. It is completely freelance and depicts a small EWS locomotive fuelling point and stabling sidings, two of which are fitted with 25kV overhead wires for the stabling of electric locomotives which is set somewhere in the North West of England. A small wagon repair facility is also incorporated to add some extra occupational interest.

The layout is very much modern image and depicts all of todays colourful liveries. It is operated by using Lenz DCC Control with the majority of the locomotive fleet fitted with working lights.

Dyserth road was featured in the February 2002 issue of Rail Express magazine.
