This layout was build to paint a picture and catch the atmosphere of American Railroading through the mountains via the Western Pacific's Feather River Canyon Route which was taken over by the Union Pacific in 1983
The Union Pacific has now assimilated the Southern Pacific and the Chicago and North Western railroads with 'running rights' been given to the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe, so a great variety of stock is prototypically on view. This line is also very popular with 'railfan excursions', sometimes steam hauled.
Sections of the main line through Pulga Bridges, across Rock Creek Trestle and over the graceful steel trestles of the Keddie Wye have been modelled and guided by the delightful video tape of the area obtainable from Steam Powered Video.
Behind the mountains is a fully automated set of staging and set-up tracks which send around a variety of colourful trains and hopefully for your enjoyment of a 'different' modelling theme.
